Hoy has a special place in my heart, as it does for many people who visit it.
My wife's family own a cottage in Rackwick, a small crofting township in the north west of the island of Hoy, in Orkney.
As a young boy, I frequented Rackwick regularly as a member of the Stromness Boys Brigade. When my wife and I were going out together as teenagers, we would visit as often as we could. We even had our honeymoon there, and for many a year, it was our main holiday destination when our children were young. We still visit, at least once a year, and it's always a pleasure to photograph all over the island.
